Lewis Reed (WAV) Ltd have been awarded best car in show for two years running now at the Mobility Roadshow in Peterborough.

2010 saw the launch of their new small wheelchair accessible car the unique Skoda Roomster. A versatile small vehicle with 4 seats including wheelchair position. Particularly suitable for wheelchair and scooter users.

2011 saw the launch of their most luxurious of vehicles the Mercedes- Benz Viano. This mighty vehicle offers everything you could ask for in a large family vehicle. With up to 7 seats including wheelchair position and access from the side or rear. Superb.

Able magazine reviewed all the vehicles at the Mobilty Roadshow and chose Lewis Reed for the 5 Star award.

This reinforces lewis Reeds promise to be different by design.

LEWIS REED (WAV) LTD is celebrating winning an award for its work with Motability Operations, the business behind the Motability car, powered wheelchair and scooter schemes for disabled people. The accolade, awarded at the sixth annual Motability Supplier Awards, recognises excellence, efficiency and innovation.

LEWIS REED (WAV) LTD accepted the winning award for Best Motability Suppliers Award 2011. They were highlighted by Motability Operations as one of the businesses supporting the service provided to over half a million Motability customers in the UK. With award wins and commendations ranging from those for individual car dealers and car manufacturers, to specialist businesses that convert cars to make them wheelchair accessible, the awards celebrate the diversity of the Motability car, powered wheelchair and scooter schemes.

Areas that the Judges particularly highlighted for this award included recognition of the sensible advance payments, great design and build quality, and praise of the flexible approaches to customer needs.

To win this award, Lewis Reed has developed products that really differentiate them from their competitors, offer a wide choice of different wheelchair access arrangements, and have built up a very strong reputation for their customer service.

A special mention goes to the team at Lewis Reed for providing Motability customers with loan vehicles free of charge when faced with supplier delays, and for the work of the managing director, Peter Scullion, in coordinating the developments of new standards that will benefit all users of WAVs, including Motability customers, when they are introduced next year.”

As well as the award for Best Supplier Award there was a further 13 awards presented at a business session hosted by broadcaster Huw Edwards on 8 July 2011. In addition to one winner in each category, there were also commended businesses and individuals.
