Transferring 6 Way Seat

This vehicle is driver focused with the wheelchair user in mind. Whether it’s driving from your wheelchair or transferring to drive, this vehicle is for you. Our aim is to enable you to be completely independent.

Access is simple and easy by means of using a rear platform lift with auto rear doors (standard), or from a side access lift with automatic remote side sliding door (optional). Both choices are operated remotely by using a palm sized key fob.

Lewis Reed carefully prepare the VW Shuttle SE to incorporate simple optional push/pull hand controls and to facilitate further customer adaptations which will enable the vehicle to be driven from a driver position.

We recommend any further modifications to be carried out by your local specialist. Details and recommendations can be given on request.

In addition we offer an optional electric drivers 6 way seat which enables the wheelchair user to make an internal transfer onto the seat with ease.

The Volkswagen Shuttle SE Driver vehicle comes as standard with push/pull hand controls, electric handbrake, dashboard air conditioning, cruise control, automatic rear view mirror, luxury carpet and vented roof trim with reading lights. External features include a number of enhancements, such as body coloured bumpers, chrome finishing strips and full wheel trims. To further enhance any model in the Transporter Shuttle range, a number of useful options are available that reflect its virtue as a great passenger vehicle. These include front fog lights, alloy wheels, satellite navigation, rear parking sensors and electric folding door mirrors. Many more options are available.
