WHEELCHAIR LOADING

As many of us know, wheelchairs are not always the easiest of items to lift.

A wheelchair hoist can be fitted in the boot making your car a Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle – extremely useful if you or your helper struggle to lift your wheelchair into your car. Once inside, the chair must be secured before you continue your journey.

When it comes to mobility scooters or powered wheelchairs which tend to be heavier, a useful solution is a ramp. When choosing your Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle, you must consider its height as you may not be able to fold the back of the wheelchair seat forward to get it in the car. Likewise, make sure that your car has a low enough sill to get the wheelchair in, otherwise it may be necessary to fit a ramp on the inside.

With over 20 years experience producing and selling wheelchair accessible vehicles in the UK, you can be sure that we can offer excellent customer service with a level of knowledge that is completely unrivalled.
